Did you know you can setup Auto-Provisioning for Yealink Phones on RingOffice Cloud Phone System? Manually configuring VoIP phones can be a tedious chore, especially when you have to do it over and over again 20 times. RingOffice Cloud Hosted Phone System provides an extremely versatile auto-provisioning service that allows customers to easily setup their VoIP phones to be automatically provisioned by the RingOffice system.
This post will show you how to setup auto-provisioning for Yealink phones on RingOffice. Please note that a valid RingOffice service will be required for each phone to be provisioned with. Also, the MAC address of each phone must be provided to RingOffice in advance so it can be associated with the service to be setup on that device.
In this demonstration, we are working with a Yealink T46G VoIP Phone. Make sure your phone has power and is connected to the Internet. Press the Menu key/softkey on your Yealink phone and select “Status”. You will find your phone’s IP address and MAC address on this screen.

The MAC address is your phone’s unique identifier that needs to be provided to RingOffice in advance. Assuming this has already been done, let’s move on to steps required to setup RingOffice Auto Provisioning. Write down the IP address of the phone.
Open a browser window on your computer and enter the IP address in the address bar. This will take you to the phone login screen. The Yealink default credentials for accessing the Web interface are Username: admin and Password: admin.

If your phone is not brand new, you will need to do a Factory Reset to erase any previous settings on the phone prior to setting up auto provisioning. To do this, go to the “Settings” tab and Click on “Upgrade” from the menu on the left. On this page, you will see an option to “Reset to Factory Setting”.

On this page, you can also use the “Select and Upgrade Firmware” button to upgrade the phone firmware if the version you have is old. To do this, you will have to first download the latest firmware from www.yealink.com.
Once your phone has been factory reset, go to the “Settings” tab and Click on “Auto Provision” from the menu on the left. On this page, you will see a field called “Server URL”. In this field, enter the following path to the RingOffice provisioning server: http://208.89.104.243/60 and click “Confirm” at the bottom of the page.

Once the provisioning path has been saved, you can click on the “Autoprovision Now” button or reboot the phone. If the phone MAC address has been programmed in RingOffice, the provisioning server will download all account configs into the phone.
